"Devotion to Ochún, sweetness, and the divine medicine of tenderness"

THE INSPIRATION

Miel is devoted to Ochún, Orisha of rivers, love, beauty, and fertility · the golden goddess whose sweetness heals and whose laughter restores harmony. She is honey itself: alluring, nourishing, and filled with divine medicine.

This piece honors the pataki where Ochún's sweetness soothed discord among the Orishas and returned balance to the world. Miel is both offering and reminder — that tenderness is its own form of strength, and that joy is a sacred act.

THE MATERIALS

Citrine· for joy and abundance
Honey calcite · for warmth and empowerment
Cowrie shell · for prosperity and protection
Clear quartz point · for clarity and amplified intention

Each element carries Ochún's honeyed touch. Each one was chosen, not decorated.

THE DETAILS

Handcrafted by artist Njeri Akosua. Encased in a white leather pouch with Njeri's hand-dyed fabric. Fits a standard Bic lighter.

*Lighter not included.*

A vessel of sweetness · where honey meets flame, and devotion flows golden.

Burn Care

Light candle for 2 hours the first time will get an even burn and avoid tunneling. Before each burn trim the wick to less than 1/4 of an inch, avoiding any black soot.

Never leave a candle unattended, near drafts, or move a candle while burning.
